It's been over 6 months of joy, hard work, tears, stress, laughter, loss, and gain! I wouldn't trade it for the world ☀️

These are all the good times in this reel but trust me there are hard times, it's not all sunshine and rainbows! It comes with any job, there's gonna be the fun moments and the hard moments.

Well sometimes it gets lonely and you've just gotta make your own kind of music and make it fun!

I'm all for dancing and having a good time even if it's just me 😆

This is sometimes the reality of what it's like running a coffee truck by yourself but don't worry I'm never alone, I got Jesus with me so being lonely is not a thing for me. Praise the Lord for that 🙌☀️

How’s the school holidays going for everyone? This morning has been great weather and great to take the kids out.

It's just so much better making a coffee from a cool truck. It ain't just any ordinary coffee truck that's for sure!

I'm curious guys as to what peoples coffee order is?
My coffee order is a small strong latte.

Just putting it out there that most older people order cappuccinos, young men order flat whites and women order lattes 😆☕ I don't know, do you think that's true?

This is what my Saturday looked like!... It was a busy one.

Running two businesses is always a bit hectic because there's so much work after this day which includes editing all the photos and cleaning the truck out etc.

I love my life though! No other place I'd rather be ✨☕

Ooh la la! Yummy pastries, good vibes, cute truck, and incredible coffee 😉 I mean what more could you ask for.

It's got it all.
And even with all the food I have stocked, I'm supporting 4 different local businesses. Isn't that just amazing, this is why I love my job because I support other businesses and I make peoples day by providing coffee and smiles. ☕🙌

What combo should I do next - any ideas?!

If you said two years ago to me that this is what my life would look like I’d say you’re silly but hey nothing is impossible if you put your heart and mind to something! And that’s what I did with this coffee truck and at just 18 years old.

Don’t know if you know this already but my personality shows through this truck: The colour is my favourite, the name because you know I’m an Italian at heart and estro is Italian, and the European retro look because I’m an old soul really and who doesn’t love the European look. It has my artwork and books displayed and most importantly it has coffee and food!
Of course I have my Bible in the front next to me! ✨

This was a busy day as I did 3 events!.. and you guys get to come with me for the full day.

Wake up at 5:30am and was back home by 10pm - it was a long but fun day as I went to a few different locations and met some pretty cool people 🙌☕

This week hasn't been particularly warm considering it's spring but I'm more busy with bookings and events as we come into summer. I'm excited for when the wind dies down though ☀️

What a great opportunity to come to Northern Christian School and share my business plan and how I started Estro.

The kids sipped on hot choccys while I talked to them the story behind it all and needless to say they all had lots of questions and more ideas for the future with estro.
What a joy it was to talk to these year 5 students!

I had to push my mirrors in so I could fit but hey it worked.

Now this is a vibe! I've always wanted a unique car and well now I got it and what's even better is you can make coffee from it 😍

Still is surreal that this is my job at 18 years old...
Sometimes I feel like I'm 22 and not 18 haha but I'm so happy that I get to do this so young and just being able to chase my dreams 😍

I'm getting so booked out now and it's been like 5 months since I launched. Crazy!!

Might have to start another coffee truck haha...

It's such a vibe and just being able to go to so many different locations and meet so many people - I'm in my element.

From working for 4 years as a barista at 3 different cafes, I've then started my own. I had the experience of working as manager at a cafe where I gained more knowledge of how a cafe runs and that gave me the idea to start my own 😍

Why not buy a Suzuki carry!!.... These trucks are my all time favourite 😍
What's not to like about it and especially when you can make coffee out the back of it.
They're small and this truck is automatic which is even better. It's a bit slow but it gets me to the places I need to be and even though it's small I can fit so much in it. 🙌

You guys we’re almost through winter too! Whoowhoo thank goodness for that - I’m so keen for the warmer weather but this also means I’ll be busier than normal as I come into my first summer with the coffee truck. Gave the truck a good clean the other day and oooh lala it is shiny and beautiful!... But then with all that rain on Saturday I got a little muddy 🥲😆

Well at least the rain makes it entertaining! 😅 If I can get through Tassie winter with this coffee truck then I think I'll be alright and honestly it hasn't been too bad out in the elements.

I'm quite enjoying being outside in nature all day every day ☀️🙌

How good is this!.... No more loud generator.

Thanks to @the_brodstar and @reuben.wherrett for changing the machines over.
To power everything I've got a lithium battery, gas and there is also a solar panel on top of the truck.

We're getting through winter. How exciting will it be in summer. I'm getting little chairs so you can sit and enjoy a coffee - how good will that be when it warms up bit. Although we get some beautiful sunny days in winter and right by the water or the park is a great place for a coffee.

Ok but what a fun project that my family and I ( @the_brodstar and @reuben.wherrett ) did! A big family effort getting my dream started and now running it solo.

The transformation from the day I bought it ( a white little truck ) to what it is now was a big achievement and a lot of hours were put into getting it built but here we are and I'm now 14 weeks in already!! That went fast 🤍

This is for the kids!
During school holidays - I'm teaching the kids how to make coffee. They get to help make a coffee for you ( parent/guardian ) and themselves a hot choccy.
I'll give them a sheet with all the different kinds of coffees that exist and they can learn the basics of coffee.

This is a chill event where other parents can come, connect, and hangout over coffee ☕☀️

Well it's been busy but also so wholesome as I run this little coffee truck. I've met so many people and doggies ( last photo of a couple from the mainland who have been following my journey 😍)

Serving coffee with love and smile to this community of Hobart is a blessing to me and hopefully to you all.

Just another day in the life of an 18 year old running a coffee truck solo 😍

First day with my new coffee machine and the silence is so beautiful!

Why is it so satisfying just watching the truck get all set up - I love how simple and easy it is to set up too 🙌☕

Today has turned out to be a stunning day with the sun out but honestly I need gloves because my hands are struggling to work early in the morning 🥶🤌

Today and yesterday we started changing over the coffee machine to a gas powered coffee machine so say goodbye to this Expo bar machine and also the noisy generator 🙌

No idea how excited I am that it will be silent when I make coffee. The new machine looks so professional and the real deal, not that the other one wasn’t but just wait until I show you all what the new machine looks like 🤌

Ran into a couple issues changing it over but thanks to my brothers they have managed to make it work. We’re getting new battery’s and inverters as well.

Well it's been busy to say the least.
I've gone to so many different spots and served at so many events already! I love that this business takes me to different places and I can meet so many people.

Time has gone fast and I'm getting into the swing of things and learning so much along the way.

I'll be at long beach this Saturday 11am-2pm.
And Sunday the hours are changing - I'll be at Lindisfarne Anzac park 9:30am-12:30pm and short beach 1pm-3pm

The meaning behind Estro and why I chose it for my business!

I mean who doesn’t love Italy 🤌
This truck was inspired by Italy when I visited it two years ago - I wanted to bring a bit of European culture to Tassie and so I started this coffee truck.

And of course because I’m also an artist the meaning behind estro was perfect and suited me very well. If you didn’t know I’m also very enthusiastic 🙌☕️

Oh what a location to make coffee on this beautiful sunny tasmanian day!

So I'm thinking of doing a trip around Tassie with the coffee truck and go to different camping sites - how cool would that be!! Is it a good idea?

I'm counting down the days till I get the gas powered coffee machine.... I won't know myself once I have it.

It’s not just a job – it’s way more than that.
I get to know my customers and build real connections.
Sometimes, I’m the only person they talk to all day.
Everyone’s got a story, and I get to be part of theirs – sharing a coffee, a chat, and hopefully making their day a little better ☕🙌

Yeh well I quit my job to start this coffee truck but man it was worth it! And absolutely have loved running this truck.
Of course I have more business ideas and things to add on and change to this business but it's a great step in the direction I'm wanting to go. I'm also loving being able to chat to customers all day and not get told off for yapping!!

How it has been 10 weeks since I launched I don't know.
This winter is going to be fun out in the cold but I'll be warming you and myself included with hot coffee.
Might need a few layers on too 🌨️

Bridgewater opening day was crazy!! Such a great day though and had the best helpers so we could knock out all those coffees. I can't wait to get my gas coffee machine which has two milk frothers - Then I can get coffees out even faster.

How many of you went to the opening day for the new bridge at Bridgewater?

How good that it only takes 15 minutes to get it all set up and with the machine heated ready to go. 🙌☕

Love how easy this is. Pull up anywhere and be serving coffee within 15 minutes and it has everything I need inside the truck.

Today makes 8 weeks since I had my launch day!! Wow, how it's gone so fast and already I've learnt so much. I've been so busy especially as I'm still running my photography business on top of this. Still lots more to learn but what a fun journey so far.

The Story

My name is Shalom, and I'm the youngest of a Christian family of nine kids. I am very passionate about coffee which is one of the reasons I started this Coffee truck. If you didnt know the name Estro, it's Italian and I'm very much an Italian at heart! In October 2024 I bought the Suzuki Carry with the idea to turn it into a coffee truck.
